You have a food product that you need to manufacture: we have the facilities and expertise to produce it for you to the highest quality from start to finish, within your budget and all in one location.

Outsourcing covers anything from the manufacturing of your product and the management of its supply chain to its packaging and distribution at the end of the process. If you outsource all or part of your production to us, you can expect to see your product taken through a flowing process that uses our ‘planned flexibility’ approach to meet tight deadlines, keep costs down and deliver top quality products.

When it comes to outsourcing, transparency is vital. We keep our customers involved at every step of the production process, whatever their requirements, budgets or deadlines.

INITIAL CLIENT MEETING

During your initial meeting with us, we will want to find out as much as possible about you, your product and its manufacturing process. We can then devise a tailor-made production plan and ensure that this fits with your requirements and expectations.

PRODUCT ARRIVAL AND STORAGE

We will receive your product on to our site at a time that fits with your delivery schedules; we can also arrange the transportation of your product. Our app technology ensures traceability and stock level oversight for our customers. This methodical way of working cuts the risk of unnecessary costs and time delay.

TRANSFORMATION

This is the really clever bit when we take all of the component parts and turn them into your finished product. There’s no magic to the work we do though, just years of expertise and food manufacturing know-how combined with longstanding supplier relationships, the very best equipment and the latest technology. This work can involve:

I. COLD PRESSING

We take raw product or seed and feed it through our cold pressing facility; the largest of its kind in the UK. The traditional pressing process generates heat, but too much of it can damage the product. Our cold presses never let the temperature inside rise above 50C, so that the oil it produces is healthier, higher-quality and better for the environment too.

II. FILTRATION

Our team uses a five-stage filtration method which combines automatic, vertical leaf and bag and cartridge filters to suit your product, your volumes and your required levels of purity. Our multi-tank system allows for continuous filtering 24-hours-a-day down to a purity of 1 micron, ensuring that your cold pressed seed oil is crystal clear and free from contaminants.

III. BOTTLING / FILLING

We fill more than four million jars and bottles every year, but we know that every product is different. The flexibility of our production lines and the teams who operate them mean that we can design our filling and packing services to fit around you and your needs, whatever they may be. We have the latest pre-fill heating and filtration systems on-site, so can ensure that each product can be made ready for filling, regardless of how it arrives at our sites.

IV. ASSEMBLY/ PICK AND PACK

However you need your product labelling, sealing, packing or assembling, our production teams can deliver on time and budget. With more than three million items being packed for despatch every year inside our factories, we have expertise in a wide range of packing methods, including shrink wrapping, barcoding, pick and pack, re-work and multi-component kit assembly.

TECHNOLOGY

As our customer, you are able to keep track of the progress of your product 24-hours-a-day as it moves through our facility thanks to our bespoke ‘Production Reporting’ app. This technology provides timely production reports, stock levels and progress updates for both the client and in-house production teams. It’s as if you were looking down on our factory from above!

WAREHOUSING AND STOCK MANAGEMENT

Our app technology allows customers real-time access to our warehouses; you can find out how much of your product is being processed at any point and plan accordingly, saving money and preventing time delays. We manage stock methodically: if your product is first in, it will be first out.

OUTBOUND DESPATCH

We can deliver your completed orders anywhere in the UK according to your requirements. Whether your product needs transporting to your headquarters, your regional distribution centres or direct to large retailers on your behalf, our outbound despatch team will work with yours or your customers’ logistics departments to ensure delivery slots are met and that every drop off goes smoothly.

Our services don’t end when your product leaves our Nottinghamshire site; we’ll invite you to an evaluation meeting or conference call to discuss how you think the production process went, any improvements that could be made next time and ideas for future product development.
