Most of the expeller supplied to the agricultural industry comes from refining factories where it’s been stripped of any oil content by companies who want as much of the oil as possible to sell for food. This intensive process leaves a colourless, dry flake with no oil content whatsoever.
Our expeller is different because we cold press seed at lower temperatures. We always leave around 10 per cent of the oil in the expeller, which makes our expeller a great source of fat for animal feed rations. It’s better value financially and nutritionally, because it saves feed mills from having to add as much imported palm or soya oil to feed to get the required nutritional nutritional content.
